- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required; 18 months unit-specific experience if not otherwise noted 2. Cases: Inpatient oncology, mixed general floor with oncology and hospice as primary specialty 3. Certifications: BLS required, Chemo cert (ONS/ONCC) required, OCN preferred; must be AHA or Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Days (715-1845), no on-call required, work every other weekend 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO, more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restriction for this specialty 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, renewed annually; strict deadlines with 4PM CST Day 1 cutoff or candidate will be pushed 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Chemotherapy administration equipment, ports, central lines, PICC lines, IV therapy equipment Critical: Must have extensive chemotherapy skills including administration, body fluid handling, continuous infusion, IV push, spill management, and monitoring. Patient ratio 6-7. Floating required within hospital or affiliate hospitals. Compliance items must be completed within 1 week of contract signing.
