- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of Oncology-specific experience required 2. Cases: Hematology and Medical Oncology; adults over the age of 18; administration of chemotherapy and central line/implanted line care required 3. Certifications: BCLS required; ONS Chemo/Bio Card required (must have); OCN preferred; all certifications must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: NC or Compact license accepted; pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; also uses Pyxis, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams 7. Shifts/Call: 8-hour day shifts (07:45-17:15); no call requirement; no weekend requirement; 40 hours available; can float between Matthews and Ballantyne Clinics (14.1 miles/20 minutes apart) 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing; RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite — violations may result in cancellation and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (permanent, PRN, or EP) must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name and dates employed; facility approval needed; current travel per diem clinicians are not eligible for travel contracts and must choose one or the other 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate; candidates must be open to floating within or near facility; travel pairs allowed but must be on different units and disclosed 11. Modules: Pre-start modules are non-billable and must be margined separately from orientation hours; non-acute care is approximately 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
