- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; Med/Surg experience required; Hematology/Oncology experience preferred but not required; acute care experience must be current/active and working consistently within the last 12 months in the applying specialty — HARD STOP for submission 2. Cases: Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Acute Leukemias, Chronic Leukemias, Sickle Cell Disease, other non-hematologic cancers, other benign hematology; procedures include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies (tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome), insulin drips, heparin drips; heavy focus on infection prevention and fall prevention 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required; OCN (ONS Certification) preferred; copies required at submission 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Day/Night or Nights available; staffing ratio goal is 1:4, may be 1:5; no set/blocked scheduling; weekends variable based on unit needs; orientation is 72 hours 8.
