- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required; must have MS oncology and at least 1 inpatient hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist; acute care experience must be current and worked consistently in the last 12 months in the applying specialty 2. Cases: Acute leukemia and hematology; primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients; high volume of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; ONS Chemo Cert (ONS/ONCC) required; NIHSS preferred; all must be in hand at submission; Chemo Certification is a hard requirement 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour days/nights or 12-hour nights; rotating D/N contracts may include days, nights, or combination based on department needs; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; no set/blocked scheduling; self-schedule requests accepted; orientation is first week Mon-Fri days, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor; float to other MedSurg Oncology units possible 8.
