- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years acute care required 2. Cases: Surgical oncology focus; abdomen and pelvic area diagnoses including Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, Stomach, and Urology Oncology; no chemotherapy or biotherapy administered on unit 3. Certifications: AHA BLS required; Oncology skills checklist required; teaching hospital experience is a hard stop requirement 4. License: CO or Compact RN License required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Rotating shifts; various days of the week; weekends required per unit needs (12-14 weekend shifts per contract); no on-call required; floating required within scope and may include sister facilities; no blocked scheduling requests 8. RTO: 10 RTO days max per 13-week contract; RTO not allowed during: June 28-July 9, 2026; September 2-12, 2026; October 25-November 4, 2026; November 22-December 2, 2026; December 20-January 3, 2027 (flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions) 9. Returning Staff: Candidates who applied to UCHealth internal Travel or Perm staff within the last 2 years will not be considered (DNU list); any resource who completed a full year on assignment must not be rebooked for at least one year 10. Travel/Local: Local bill rate is $85 if candidate lives less than 75 miles from facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 but may flex up; candidates must be comfortable with flexible staffing ratios.
