- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years acute care required; teaching hospital experience required 2. Cases: Surgical oncology cases - abdomen/pelvic procedures (Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, Stomach); patients with cancer diagnosis needing surgical interventions 3. Certifications: AHA BLS required; oncology skills checklist required 4. License: CO or Compact RN license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Rotating shifts, weekend coverage required (12-14 weekend shifts per contract), no on-call required 8. RTO: 10 RTO days max approved per 13-week contract; RTO not allowed during specific blackout periods (June 28-July 9, 2026; September 2-September 12, 2026; October 25-November 4, 2026; November 22-December 2, 2026; December 20-January 3, 2027) 9. Returning Staff: UCH OR resources who completed full year assignment cannot be rebooked for at least one year; candidates who applied to UCHealth internal jobs within last 2 years not eligible 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius; local bill rate $85 if candidate lives less than 75 miles from facility 11. Background: Must disclose previous UCHealth employment 12. Modules: Non-billable, factored into 20 hours NBO, average 4 hours; completion required within first week 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted if they have teaching hospital experience 14. Scrubs: Navy scrubs required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Standard medical equipment, no specialized training required Critical: Hard stop on teaching hospital experience. Float required within scope and may float to sister facilities. Patient ratios 1:6 but may flex up based on staffing needs. No blocked scheduling requests allowed.
