- Unit Notes:**Manager interviews **Only taking 5 week contracts beginning 7/5 at this time OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels They will receive 2-3 days of orientation. They must have L&D, post-partum, and level 2 nursery experience. 4 ldrp, 3 pp and 1 delivery/procedure room 1:1 labor and 1:3 post partum Practice baby friendly in the unit RN is asked to work Antepartum and PP. No scrub or circulate on csections What are the typical patients a traveler will see on this unit? Antepartum, L&D - high risk included, level 2 nursery What level of trauma facility, if any, is your facility? How big is your facility (# of beds)? 80 How many beds on the Unit? Is there overflow? 7 beds with 1 overflow room What is the Nurse to patient ratio? follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient acuity Will the traveler be floating? To which units? First or in rotation with perm staff? At times during COVID surge, our unit provides helping hands to other departments (med surg, emergency department, etc.). Rotation with permanent staff. What Certifications does this position require? EFM comptecency, NRP, BLS What is your traveler time off request policy? Need to know time off before contract established What Med System do you use? Is Pharmacy there 24x7? pyxis and OSF e-pharmacy is available 24/7 What type of charting do you utilize? EPIC - Community Works What color scrubs are needed? Are they provided? Scrubs are provided Other than being a great clinical RN, what are the three most important characteristics you look for in travel staff? Dependability, positivity, motivated How many years experience do you require for this position? Minimum of 1, preferably 2 or more. What is orientation like? (12-hour) shifts - 7a-7p and 7p-7a Are there any specific equipment, procedures or skills that someone needs for your unit besides what we have talked about so far? Caring for clean gyne surgical patients, What tourist attractions or points of interest are in your area, any attractions that would be enticing for a traveler to come to your area? Riverfront location with walking paths and quaint downtown area with boutiques, dining, What does your orientation consist of? (Classroom, on unit, how long, testing?) If there is testing, what type(s) and is there a study guide? On unit learning, 3 days.
