- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years preferred; will consider 1-year nurses on a case-by-case basis 2. Cases: NICU Level II & III; patient diagnoses include prematurity (23 weeks to term), respiratory distress, glucose management of late preterm, chorioamnionitis, retinopathy of prematurity 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, Stable (preferred); ACLS and NIH also listed; must be on hand; Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Moderate Sedation Test administered at orientation — one chance to pass (Pass/Fail) 4. License: Nursing license required; pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred but not required to submit 7. Shifts/Call: Late stay if needed; float to Peds required; weekend coverage required (3 weekends per contract for regular positions, every weekend for weekend positions); patient ratios vary 2-4 depending on acuity 8. RTO: All RTO must be submitted at time of initial submission; RTO requested after the fact will not be considered; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent staff cannot return to any SRHS facility as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius required; locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12.
