- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years as permanent staff required; at least 3 years NICU experience at level III; level 3-4 NICU experience required, level 2 not sufficient; teaching hospital experience required 2. Cases: Very low birth weight preemies requiring ventilatory support; 50-bed level IV unit for high-risk infants; extremely low birth weight infants; preemies 22 weeks and up 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP required 4. License: Pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 preferred, 3x12 Days considered; no call required; 2 weekend shifts per month required 8. RTO: 1 week maximum; minimal RTO, cannot accommodate during first 2 weeks 9. Returning Staff: Prior UW staff requires 18 months separation 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same bill rate; floating required to Mother Baby for baby care only 11. Background: Must disclose any hits when submitted 12. Modules: Non-billable, completed pre-start; RN 5-6 hours, Allied 2-3 hours; additional 6 hours for WA suicide prevention training if working with MSL 13. Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience required 14. Scrubs: Any color accepted; scrubs provided for OR personnel 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: 3 incubator types (Giraffe, Drager, Atom), Alaris pumps, feeding pumps, Jet Ventilator, Drager conventional vent, Oscillator Critical: Patient ratios 1:1-3 depending on acuity.
