- Unit Notes:- Hiring Process: Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are completed remotely Unit NICU/Nursery - Level of NICU: Level 2 - # Beds: 6 Beds - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-3 babies - Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP?): BLS, NRP - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: "Hypoglycemia, IV antibiotics, mild respiratory distress, phototherapy, pre-term babies that need to learn to bottle feed and gain weight. Some withdrawing babies from Mother of baby drug use. NICU RNs attend C-Sections and Vaginal Deliveries. Their role is only for the baby. May be asked to care for stable post-partum mothers & babies. (If traveler doesn't have experience caring for moms, they must be atleast willing to learn and the facility will provide training. CNM please call out if they do or do not have experience caring for moms.) " - Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must have 2 years of NICU experience Prefer prior travel experience " - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): "7-7, Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling. All time off requests need to be submitted prior to starting assignment" - Floating: Could be floated to St Anthony North (26 miles away) if low census or there's a need at SAN - Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule - Holiday Requirements: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation - Is there call or a standby requirement?: Rare, for low census - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided- blue hospital scrubs - Unit/Departments specific orientation: 1-3 shifts with a preceptor Notes: Minimum of two RNs or RN and tech. LDRP model those RNs are right in the unit. We focus on safe staffing based in the acuity of the patient. There will be a combination of NICU charge and or LD charge. There will be RNs hired into the charge RN NICU role. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:3 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:Nights, 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule, Could be floated to St Anthony North (26 miles away) if low census or there's a need at SAN Required Certifications:BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
