- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: General medicine with focus on neuro; CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry, Med/Surg 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS required; all must be in hand at submission 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; Pyxis and SBAR also used 7. Shifts/Call: Night shift; 36 or 48 hours accepted (if 48, OT not billed until after 48 hours); 13-26 week contracts accepted; block scheduling; manager schedules; 5-6 weekend shifts per contract (every other weekend); float required, travelers float first; contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters; consolidation to centralized office mid-contract may occur 8. RTO: 7 days MAX; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR; no pre-approved time off 9.
