- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Medical-surgical with oncology history; patient diagnoses include AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips; administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy IV, PO, or injection required 3. Certifications: BLS required; Chemo (ONS/ONCC) required; Oncology certification preferred; OCN preferred; must be able to administer chemo if needed; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; Pyxis and SBAR also used 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; call required if called off on a pre-scheduled shift; float required to similar units and alternate care locations including inpatient holding in the ED; every other weekend required; contract staff assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster; attendance at monthly staff meetings required; make-up shifts required for called-out shifts; target ratio 1:6 8. RTO: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; any call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR; one pre-approved time off noted 9.
