- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required in specialty; 1+ years required for submission within specialty 2. Cases: Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit; stroke step down; occasional peritoneal dialysis patients; patient population includes Adults and Geriatrics 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS required (noted with asterisk); certifications will be allowed to be obtained before starting; must be in hand prior to start 4. License: Valid NY State RN License required; must have at least applied if still pending; submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: No call required; days ratio 1:5-6, nights ratio 1:6-7; weekend shifts dependent on contract length; float within skillset may be required 8. RTO: Only one holiday approved; 7 days or less total preferred 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as a traveler within one year; include former manager details as applicable 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate ($10 less than BR); after 3rd assignment, extensions done at local rate 11. Background: SSN/DOB required; Canadian and international travelers cannot clear without SSN or pending work authorization; international travelers cannot cross sooner than 10 days prior to start date 12. Modules: Modules are billable; Med Surg RN — 3 hours; Critical Care/ED — 6 hours; orientation minimum 3 hours with 6-hour max 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required; preferred per notes 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed 16.
