Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years RN experience required 2. Cases: Med/Surg patients with wide range of diagnoses including CVA, post MI, renal failure, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, total joint replacement 3. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, ACLS required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 nights weekdays/weekends; patient ratios 1:5-7 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal; blocked schedule with no guaranteed requests 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address 100+ miles from facility; candidates between 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 8 hours completion time; completed prior to start date 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, PCA, PICC lines, wound vac, tracheostomy equipment Critical: Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract. Full file due by noon Thursday prior to start date. Minimum 2 manager/charge nurse references from past 2 years required.
