- Unit Notes:Department: Rehab RN *Certifications Required: BLS* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** - # Beds: 10 patients with private rooms. - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:05. - Common diagnoses: 40% stroke, a mix of trauma, orthro, neuro, variety of disabilities, 10-14 days average (adult unit, do not take peds pts). - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Ok with first time traveler if they have Rehab experience. Will accept a MS nurse if s/he has prior travel, if they have prior rehab will accept a first time traveler. If first time traveler - will not accept if no rehab experience, ok with MS background. Would not be able to accommodate duos with same shifts but otherwise ok. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: N/A. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: IV fluids, or antibiotics, heparin drip if transitioning to Coumadin. - Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips?: No. - Are RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?: Yes, around 11a-12 - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse to take patient assignments: 1:5 and travelers can be charge. - Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: CNAs for day and evening; 2300-0700 no CNA. - PT/OT/SLP/Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab?: PT OT SLP, rehab physician. - RT/Equipment: RN to do nebs and inhalers, RT cpap and bipap for nights and RN can remove. - Shifts & Scheduling: RN if doing 12 7-7, or 7-330, 3-23230, 2300-0700. Agency usually do 12s some 8 hrs. - Weekend Requirements: Every other to every third. - Holiday Requirements: 2/3 for winter and every other for others. - Call or Standby Requirement: No. - Floating Requirements: To like med surg tele units. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs, clean and professional. - Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 2 12 hour shifts. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.
