- **Holiday coverage is required; however, any RTO during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing demands.** Travel Experience HIGHLY PREFERRED, may consider no travel if more perm experience Information Regarding Observation Unit: 10 Bed ER Overflow Ratios 1:6 at Night; 1:5 at Days Focus of constant reassessment of readiness of patient for discharge. This unit will be rapidly admitting and discharging patients. Floating Requirement: Will float to other Med Surg units Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend. Information Regarding the Other Med Surg Units: We all see a good mix of medical patients. Staffing Ratio 1:5-6 for nights Ratios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instances Variety of staff work on this unit and other Med/Surg units (i.e RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc). Other Requirements: Must be willing to work with variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs etc.) Cannot guarantee/approve block scheduling at this time Michigan RN License BLS (AHA) Minimum 1+ year Required. Must be able to handle patient surges/increased patient ratios of 1:6, be willing to float to other med/surg areas and prioritize balancing throughput with patient experience.
