Travel Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D) Tacoma, WA

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week
Length: 16 weeks

Every other weekend rotation (variable based on need); holidays fair and equitable; no mandatory call

Requirements:

• WA license
• 2 years of experience with previous travel experience
• BLS
• NRP
• Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)
• 5+ years of experience preferred

Other Details:

• EMR: Epic
• High acuity L&D: labor management and delivery of high-risk OB patients, ability to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, cervical checks, reading/interpreting fetal monitoring strips; second set of hands to receive and recover normal newborn as needed
• Patient population: high acuity — hypertension, Mg administration, C-sections (33% C-section rate), preterm labor, insulin drips, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, robust antepartum, PROM, multiple births, post-partum hemorrhage; up to 300 deliveries per month
• Patient ratios (per AWHONN): 1:1 active labor; 1:2 non-active laboring; 1:2-3 antepartum depending on acuity
• L&D beds: 34 (15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum, 4 OB ED, 3 OR); Post Partum 18 beds
• Float: antepartum (within L&D), postpartum (occasionally), additional assignments within scope and experience
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Scrubs provided by facility
