- Unit Notes:***ALL MYJOURNEY MODULES NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. TRAVELER WILL BE PUSHED BACK IF ALL MODULES ARE NOT COMPLETED. NO EXCEPTIONS*** **Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates.** PAY OT after 40 hours/week. (RC = 40 reg hours) BILL OT after 40 hours/week. (RC = OT rate in OT field) FLAT RATE FOR ALL OT (RC=SAME RATE IN OT AS IN REG) ****CERNER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**** *No first time travelers* - Unit: L&D (approx 300 deliveries a month) - # beds: 2 OB ED beds, 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor rooms, 2 OR's - Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced EFM - Ratios: Follow state and AWHONN guidelines - EMR: Cerner; fetal link; hugs security system - Charge Nurse: Yes, generally do not take patient, have resource nurse that will take ST - Nurse Aides: OB techs (2 per shift) to scrub C-sections - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend but may work more depending on rotations - Holidays; 2 out of 3 majors - Call: None - Scrub Color: Provided by hospital - Tele: none - Vents: "Available for moms and babies, but they are transferred to higher level of care if needed" - Laborist and anesthesia: In house 24/7 - IV Team: Must have strong IV skills - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 7a, 7p - Floating: Post partum--float first; will float to NICU as well - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: High risk OB w/ multiple co-morbidities; multiple births; no neonatal surgeries completed at this facility - Additional Notes: Baby friendly, first hour skin to skin important; NICU nurse will attend all high risk deliveries with an RT; need to understand the documentation and care for the perinatal initiatives; have a large volume of surrogates and multiples--must be comfortable with Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
