- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years required — NO EXCEPTIONS. 2 years required in high acuity and high pace environment. Highly prefer RNs with 5 years of high-risk experience; will consider candidates with 3 or more years as long as high-risk experience is present. 1st Timers Accepted. 2. Cases: High Risk/High Volume L&D — all types. 4 ORs. Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, community care clinics. Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum — HARD STOP. Must CIRCULATE — HARD STOP. Must provide NB care including eyes, Vit K injections, thighs, and newborn assessments — HARD STOP. Experience with Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate required. Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines. 3. Certifications: Required — BLS, NRP. Preferred — ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate. Proof of required certifications must be submitted with application. 4. License: Active compact license honored at all Swedish facilities. Current Nursys required — DO NOT SUBMIT WITHOUT PROOF. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic required — HARD STOP. Electronic fetal monitoring experience required. 7. Shifts/Call: Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Float required to Postpartum/Antepartum and between campuses/sister facilities that do Mother/Baby. Weekend coverage required. 8. RTO: Pre-approved time off is case by case basis. One pre-approved time off noted. Only holidays worked as needed — no specific holiday RTO restriction stated beyond working as needed. 9. Returning Staff: Perm candidates from any NON-Swedish Providence facility are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.
