- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years required — NO EXCEPTIONS. 2 years required in high acuity and high pace environment. Highly prefer RN's with 5 years of high risk experience; will consider candidates with 3 or more years as long as they have high risk experience. 1st Timers Accepted. 2. Cases: High Risk/High Volume L&D — all types. 4 ORs. Patient diagnoses include midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, and community care clinics. Must be able to circulate for C-section and function as Baby Nurse during delivery, continuing care of newborn until transfer to postpartum — HARD STOP REQUIREMENT. Must provide NB care including eyes, Vit K injections, thighs, and newborn assessments — DO NOT SCREEN if candidate does not have these skillsets. 3. Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate. Proof of required certifications must be submitted with application. 4. License: Active compact license honored at all Swedish facilities. Current Nursys required — DO NOT SUBMIT WITHOUT PROOF. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic required — HARD STOP. Electronic fetal monitoring experience required. 7. Shifts/Call: Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Orientation: 36 hours. Float required: Postpartum/Antepartum and between campuses/sister facilities that do Mother/Baby. 8. RTO: Pre-approved time off is case by case basis. One pre-approved time off noted. 9. Returning Staff: Perm candidates from any OTHER Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months. 10.
