- Unit Notes:MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF L&D CHARGE OR L&D NURSE MANAGER EXPERIENCE **Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test! - Unit: Family Birth Center. (L&D RP) - # beds: 19 PP , 12 L&D, 2 OR's, 1 PACU - Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Adv-AWHONN - Ratios: 1 to 4 to 1 to 1. Follow CA ratios - EMR: Cerner & Fetal Link for surveillance - Charge Nurse: Clinical Supervisor 6/7 days & staff Team Lead. Nurse Manager M-F - Nurse Aides: No (OB techs scrub & cover desk) - Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. Sat/Sun Days; Fri/Sat Nights - Holidays: Work in with the perm staff holiday rotation - Scrub Color: Provided by the hospital - Tele: No Tele. Use Phillips for FHM system - Vents: No - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Laborist (OB Dr in house 24/7) - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 645-715 for both days & nights - Floating: Peds - would take same pts that they would take on PP (couplets). NICU - would only take feeders & growers if they had this experience in the past - Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts if they can circulate, otherwise 2 shifts. Circulating is not required & they have staff that can do this. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Transfer out if baby has known congenital defect that will require immediate surgery. They take low & high risk deliveries (Have a Level III NICU) Additional Notes: Peak times are in July & October Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:2 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12 hr NIghts, EOW, First to Float Required Certifications:ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required (Certification), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
