- Unit Notes:OT After 40 **CHOMP is a smoke-free facility - all drug reports must have a negative result for nicotine/cotinine. If tested positive, wi submit for review if traveler has been prescribed a nicotine patch. For all reports with no legitimate reason for positive nicotine/cotinine, the contract will be cancelled. *PLEASE INCLUDE WITH ALL CHOMP SUBMISSIONS: - do they have epic exp, yes/no, if yes- last time used - email address - interview availability times **ALL RTO needs to be in at the time of submission. NO RTO will be approved after candidate is presented to facility. See me for questions. ***ALSO if submitting to NIGHT SHIFT: Scrubbing is required!!*** 36 hour guarantees: *This unit will not accommodate blocked scheduling **must have 3-5 years travel experience** Please read all below notes regarding the unit *105 births per month on average* *No first time travelers* **Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, ADVANCED AWHONN Unit LDRP/ Family Birthing Center Miscellaneous Info & Examples if Needed # of L&D Beds 13 beds between L&D, Postpartum, and Recovery - avg census fluctuates # of births per day, per year 100 deliveries per month Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? Unit also has an admit/triage/resource nurse at times. Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? No OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Neonatologist available but not in house- call response time for neonataligist 30 mins. OB hospitalist program: someone is in house 85% of the time but not 24/7. available within 30 mins on call RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? no cardiac tele EFM System Philips Shifts & Scheduling 12Hr shifts, 7-7, travelers are to fill in holes , no block scheduling Weekend Requirement Need to be available to work weekends when needed, may be every other Holiday Requirement Traveler should expect to assist with holidays Is there a call or standby requirement? may be put on call for low census shifts. Travelers may be cancelled for certain number of shifts per the terms of their contract. Floating Requirements Will be required to work L&D, PP, PACU (only recovering mothers), & to circulate in the OR throughout their assignment & shift, may float to mother baby overflow unit , no post-op GYN on postpartum side.could be floated to be a sitter if needed. Must have strong skills in all areas of LDRP and be willing and engaged to go to either side. Scrub Color/Dress code Provided Unit/Department specific orientation 3 shifts Additional Notes Must be able to run on own with limited staff, must be confident, competent, professional, & quick on feet. Do not have midwives or midlevels so must be able to manage entire labor process. Managers expect people to be working and finding things to do during downtime.Patient population has high expectations for customer service. Additional Questions "When was the last time you used Epic & for how long did you use it? When was the last time you took L&D assignment? Last time you took PP assignment? Do you feel comfortable going back & forth between both? Are your skills strong in both areas?"
