  • Unit Notes:ASANTE ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Radius: Client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction. - Call Off Policy: Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks. - Non-Billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours of non-billable orientation for first work week. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation. - Licensure: Non-Oregon Licensed RNs can apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the start of their assignment. UNIT NOTES FOR L&D 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms Caring for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, this includes high risk patients with epidurals, insulin drips, IV mag, preterm labor. Other duties - Circulating in the OR, baby nurse at delivery. We float to other W&C units which include NICU, PEDs, and FNB (postpartum unit), assignments in these units are float appropriate and the lower acuity patients. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any Epic, Omnicell, 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc. 2 Years L&D experience 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (BLS, ACLS, NCCPA/AANP) Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required? BLS, NRP, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or something equivocal) 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (What support staff are available; Is a doctor available by phone, in the clinic, etc.) Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required? We have an OB hospitalist on 24/7; we also schedule a break nurse and resource nurse. 6. Number of patients in a day; who do they have as support staff? AWHONN standards are followed for patient assignments. Typically, 1 labor per nurse, 2-3 antepartum. We have OB Scrub Techs 7. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) AWHONN Standards are followed 8. Dress Code: Hospital Scrubs for L&D, personal scrubs for post-partum 9. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Travelers attend 2 days nursing orientation, 2 days of Epic followed by 1 weeks FBC unit orientation as needed depending on experience, 1 day to each siter unit (FNB, Peds, NICU) Cancellation Policy:24 hours/13 weeks; Client can give 2 weeks notice. Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes, willing to wait Trauma Level:2 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12 hr day shift- eow required Required Certifications:ACLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
