- Unit Notes:Department: L&D RN *Certifications Required: BLS, NRP* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** - # L&D Beds: 7. - # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections?: 2. - # Triage beds: 0. - # Postpartum beds: 17. - # Births per day? Month? Year?: 950-1000 yearly. - Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: Absolutely. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: High risk facility - all L&D diagnoses: preeclampsia, HELLP, placenta previa, PTL, PROM etc. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: We are not LDRP. We have MBU/Antepartum on the same floor as LDR and do require agency RNs to float to both areas. We do not circulate for c/s but we do admit/prep and recovery in our LDR area. We do not have a NBN RN so the LDR RN does both recovery of mom and baby. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Insulin, oxytocin. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge RN does not take an assignment if possible so that she can be 2nd in all deliveries. House Supervisor does not typically assist on the unit due to the size of the hospital and other responsibilities. - Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit?: OB Techs - typically one on per shift. - OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7?: OB Provider in house 24/7, MFM on call, Neonatologist available if needed. - Anesthesia in house 24/7?: Yes. - RT Equipment: No. - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: No. If a patient is on Tele, the Tele staff will read strips for them. - EFM System: Corometric EFM - Cerner/Fetalink. - Shifts & Scheduling: We do not self schedule but work closely with individuals to get them the schedule they prefer if at all possible. Yes, we have allowed block scheduling in the past. - Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend unless they desire every other weekend with block scheduling. - Holiday Requirements: As needed. - Is there a call or standby requirement?: No. - Floating Requirements?: Will float to be a patient sitter throughout the house, can float to NICU if trained and comfortable doing so. - Scrub Color/Dress code: We provide hospital scrubs for the unit - purple. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 3 days of orientation: one hospital specific, 2 unit specific. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.* All clinicians must clock in and out at facility Date Entered: 11/13/2025 Cancellation Policy:Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:2 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12 hour days (0700 to 1930) with occasional PMs (1100 to 2300) IF needed. every 3rd weekend or two weekends in 6 weeks.
