- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; minimum 1 year preferred; previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: Labor, Induction, Cesarean Section, Antepartum, Postpartum, Diabetic and Hypertensive patients, HELLP, Preterm Labor, Gyn Post-Op, Well Newborn, Hyperbilirubinemia in the Newborn, Level 2 Special Care Nursery, stabilization for transfer to higher level of care 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced (preferred), AWHONN Intermediate; must be able to circulate for C-section (preferred), recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, triage of obstetrical patients, use of external fetal monitoring 4. License: KS or compact license required; valid state license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: Block scheduling; EOW weekends required; no call required; float to MS, ICU, ER expected occasionally (2-3 times per 13-week contract); may also float to MS or other units as needed; patient ratios 1:2 days, nights, and weekends; orientation 36 hours 8. Facility is a 10-bed LDRP, 4-bed GYN Post-Op, 14 well-baby beds, and 3 Special Care Nursery beds. Approximately 70-80 newborns delivered per month.
