- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of L&D experience required; first-time travelers not accepted 2. Cases: L&D primary; when floating, assigned Skilled Swing Bed, stable Observation/Acute, or low-acuity ER patients (e.g., ear infections, UTIs, minor lacerations, IV fluids); trauma assist as a helping hand only 3. Certifications: BLS, FHM, and NRP required 4. License: KS license or compact license required at time of submission 5. Education: Orientation to Med/Surg and ER areas included during orientation 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: 6p-6a; every other weekend required; floating to Med/Surg and ER if no L&D patients; charge nurse rotation among staff each shift 8.
