- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 3 years preferred. Must have experience in large/high-volume setting with greater than 300 births per month. 2. Cases: Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care; Cesarean births; cervical cerclage; obstetrical triage; antenatal fetal surveillance; IV hydration; medication administration. Double labor assignments occur daily. 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP required; C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN. Must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by cert standards). 4. License: Not explicitly stated. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic required; charting system experience required. Also uses PYXIS and SBAR. 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15. No call requirement. Float required as needed within Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit.
