- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 3 years preferred. Must have experience with facilities performing >300 births per month. 2. Cases: Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care; includes triage, antenatal fetal surveillance, IV hydration, medication administration, scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births, and rescue cervical cerclage. Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence. 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP required; C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN. 4. License: Not specified. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic required; PYXIS and SBAR also used on unit. 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour days, 06:45-19:15; 36 hours offered. Every other weekend required; minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Float required as needed within women's/Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit. May be required to precept/orient new staff members. 8. RTO: 7 days max for AYA Auto Offer. RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR. 9. Returning Staff: Not specified. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted. First-time travelers accepted but must have experience in a large/high-volume similar setting. 11. Background: Not specified. 12. Modules: Orientation is 24 hours. 13.
