- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required for submission; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: High Risk L&D unit; OB Triage, LDR, Antepartum, Cesarean Section, High Risk Antepartum, Postpartum; special procedures include cervical cerclage, cesarean, hysterectomy, D&C 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP required; copies of certifications required at submission 4. License: AK RN License required; must be in hand for Auto Offer; pending license accepted (submit as screen); takes 10-12 weeks 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights; every other weekend required; on-call not required; may float to like units or affiliate hospitals nearby; guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks; traveler can be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submission; approved on individual basis; only one pre-approved time off per contract; traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler; travelers can only work a maximum of 1 calendar year per assignment, then required to take a minimum 6-month break before returning 10.
