- 1+ years of experience
- Active California RN license required before start
- Unit Notes:# of suites/labs: CT/US/XR/MR/NM #cases per day on average: Varies 8-15 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): PALS / ACLS / BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients: experience needed are for radiology related procedures such as Para's, Thora's, Biopsies, Drainage, monitoring sedation patients.; Varies/ Inpatient and Outpatient; Peds are a possibility Job Duties: Assist Interventional Radiologist with imaging invasive procedures, coordinate IR MD schedule, work with floor RN's regarding patients, work with Imaging techs regarding procedures. Assist with sedations, pacers, place PIV, etc. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred EMR/Equipment: Cerner / MRI Safe Pumps / EKG Monitors Interventionalist hours/on call: IR MD M-F 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am to 12 noon. On-call after hours. Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Imaging Director and manager on site on weekdays. No charge RN IR Techs: No IR techs / Supporting IR MD, CT, MRI, US, and Radiology Staff Shifts & Scheduling : 8 hour shifts/ 5 days a week. Weeknight/Call Requirements: In rotation Weekend/Call Requirements: Alternating weekends rotation Scrub Color/Dress Code: navy blue How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3/4 different shifts for RN's- all day shifts. There is a department orientation that we provide Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
