- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission (within specialty); 1+ years also noted as required; travel experience preferred 2. Cases: Stroke, SAH/ICH, Sepsis, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Surgical, Trauma, Acute Renal Failure, Acute Respiratory Failure; patient age groups include Adults and Geriatrics 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; TNCC and TCAR noted with asterisk; must be AHA or American Red Cross; travelers will be allowed to obtain certifications before starting 4. License: Valid NY State RN License required; must have at least applied if still pending; recent Nursys required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratio 1:2 (occasionally 1:3); weekend coverage required; scheduling type not specified; call not specified 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as a traveler within one year; after 3rd assignment, extensions available but at local rate 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate; contact AM for local rate 11.
