- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-timers not accepted 2. Cases: Primarily trauma/burn ICU; also receives medical and cardiac overflow patients. Patient diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, DKA, AKI, arrhythmias, overdoses, respiratory failure, liver failure, electrolyte imbalances, pulmonary hypertension, and post-arrests 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be on hand at submission 4. License: Active IL license required; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights (1845-0715); every other weekend required; clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs; guaranteed hours policy in effect — client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; overages are billable; on-call in lieu of call-off counts as a called-off shift 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; no radius requirement 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Orientation is 24 hours; parking permit required at no cost, form completed during orientation 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Belmont; bedside procedures include line placement, trachs, paracentesis, thoracentesis, CRRT, Swan Ganz, and chest tubes Critical: Level I trauma center and Magnet hospital. Patient ratio experience of 1:2-3. Trauma Level II experience preferred. COVID-19 vaccine not required.
