- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 18 months if not listed otherwise in job description. Previous Charge Experience preferred. Travel Experience required. 2. Cases: Neurological diagnoses (ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, seizures), elective neurological surgeries (aneurysm repair, cranioplasty, tumor resection), post interventional radiological procedures (thrombectomy, coiling/stent), head and neck surgeries, intraoperative/post-operative complications, sepsis. 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. AHA or American Red Cross only — RQI cards not accepted. Copies required per job/unit description. 4. License: Active IL license must be in hand at time of submission. No exceptions noted for this role. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience required for this position. 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights (1845-0715). Will float to other ICUs within scope as needed. Works every other weekend. Ratios can reach 1:3. Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; excess cancellations are billable. On-call in lieu of call-off counts as a called-off shift. 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; up to 5 non-holiday days auto-approved. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate MUST work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Start date must be confirmed accurate at submission. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted — no radius requirement for this unit. (Note: OR RN specialty requires 50 miles or more.) 11. Background: Any background check hits must be noted upon submission so facility approval can be sought prior to offer. 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours. Completed pre-start, renewed annually. Non-clinical hours are fixed; clinical module hours may vary. First day is a virtual at-home day — candidates must check for additional modules. Strict deadline: modules must be completed by 4PM CST on Day 1 or candidate will be pushed. Module logins assigned and sent prior to start. 13. Travel Experience: Required. 14. Scrubs: Any solid color. 15. Flu Vaccine: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. 16. Special Equipment: EVD, Camino, Starling/Cheetah, SEPS drain, CRRT. Critical: Candidate must be PRE-CLOSED at time of submission and confirm they have reviewed the role and qualify for all requirements. SSN and DOB required at submission. Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. References can be submitted as pending. Compliance (lab appointment, DocuSigns, badge photo) must be completed within a minimum of 1 week of signing the contract. Candidate must be able to secure housing and complete compliance needs in a timely manner.
