- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years ICU experience minimum outside of orientation time required 2. Cases: Medical and Respiratory Ventilator Patients, Neuro/Surgical, High Acuity Surgeries, Medical-Surgical, Acute Cardiac, Oncology, DKA, stroke, renal failure, pneumonia, asthma, GU, CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Flutter, Hypertensive, post-cardiac Cath, pacemakers, drips, Post-surgical GYN, general, total knee/hip, fractures, shoulders, plastic reconstruction, GI, robotic surgeries 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; copies not required at submission unless noted in job description 4. License: Valid state license required at submission; Missouri requires MO license or compact license; Illinois license required in hand at submission as it's not a compact state 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting system; EPIC experience required for certain units 7. Shifts/Call: ICU Nights, every other weekend required, no on-call, 36 hours per week for 3-12s, patient ratios 1:2 8. RTO: 7 days within 13 week contract maximum; no RTO first week; must be on submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as traveler; standard travelers can stay 18 months then take 3 month break 10. Travel/Local: 75 mile radius rule; no local candidates accepted within 75 miles 11. Background: No medical marijuana cards accepted 12. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; completed pre-start through WorkRamp; must be completed 2 Fridays prior to start date 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula Critical: Float required to Medical Cardiology or Med/Surg; Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing; Self-motivated autonomy required; 6 bed ICU with 1:1-1:2 ratios; References preferred at submittal.
