- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years ICU/Neuro experience required 2. Cases: Neuro/Stroke patients, vascular surgeries, multi-level back surgeries, general critical care patients; fresh post-op craniotomy; neuro experience required (will not accept candidates with no neuro experience) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CCRN preferred; CPI module required 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License due at submission; cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Alternating 3x12s/4x12s every other week OR straight 4x12s; no call required; weekend coverage every other weekend 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at submission with personal statement 12. Modules: 5-8 hours for RN; non-billable; completed pre-start; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Navy scrubs 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Vents, EVD management, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, bolts/ICP O2 monitoring, CRRT Critical: Patient ratio 1:2-3; must float to all 3 ICUs (NCU, SCU) and ED for critical care admits; hardtop deadline Wednesday prior to Monday start; two recent manager references required; 12 orientation hours.
