- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; PA line experience required (hard stop); large hospital experience required; first time travelers must have minimum 2 years ICU experience from 400 bed or larger facility 2. Cases: ICU Float Pool covering 8SCCT (Neuro), 7SCCT (Resp failure, Vent support, hemodynamic instability), 6SCCT/4SCCT (Acute myocardial infarction with complications/hemodynamic instability), 5SCCT (GU, GI bleeds, Environmental injuries, Shocks, Massive Transfusion), Transplant float (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Heart/Lung) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CCRN preferred; copies required at submission; EKG exam administered first day of orientation - must pass to continue 4. License: Valid permanent California license required at submission; temporary licensure not accepted; Nursys report within last 2 weeks required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting highly preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 1900-730; 36 or 48 hour shifts available; at least 6 weekend shifts every 6 week period; float to ICU/MS Tele/Overflow patients required 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; no RTO within first 2 weeks of assignment; holiday RTO at manager discretion 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent employees must be gone 24 months before eligible for travel positions; all past Cedars employment must be included on profile 10. Travel/Local: No radius rule; locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Any license or background hit requires detailed written statement; reviewed case-by-case 12. Modules: 10-40 hours; first 17 hours billable, remainder non-billable; completed pre-start and during orientation; self-reported on timecard 13. Travel Experience: Yes required; first time travelers accepted with minimum 3 years experience 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Vents, IV start, ICP, tele, conscious sedation, PA lines (hard stop), Swan Ganz (hard stop); EVD and CRRT preferred Critical: Swan Ganz experience is a hard stop - do not screen without this skill. Must pass EKG exam on first day. Transplant experience preferred.
