Experience: Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital with some Neuro experience; at least 2 years nursing experience (RN) required 2. Cases: Neurological diseases and disorders, seizures, strokes (comprehensive stroke center), overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU; patient diagnoses include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, encephalopathy, neuromuscular disorders, brain and spinal tumors, respiratory/renal/liver failure, pulmonary embolus, endocarditis, GI bleeds 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be able to read and interpret strips 4. License: Ohio RN License implied; current Nursys report required at submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend and holiday required; traveler is first to float at Premier's discretion; float in/out of specialty cluster; float coverage includes Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville, less than 10 miles), and North Campus (Englewood, less than 15 miles); Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census; Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine; 14 weekend shifts per 13-week contract; orientation is 36 hours 8.
