- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience 2. Cases: Critical Care Float Pool covering Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU/MICU/NCCU 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required 4. License: Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic proficiency required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend Day shifts, 3x12s, 7:00AM-7:30PM, minimum EOW coverage; float required to different units within OSU organization as needed 8. RTO: Required with submission, must be built into contract 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after 6+ months away; current employees ineligible 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 36 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, strongly preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: NIHSS (hardstop), temp pacer, EVD, CT, Vent; must have IV Start, Telemetry, Ventilator management experience Critical: Strict compliance deadline Tuesday prior to start. Ohio fingerprinting process urgent - must complete as soon as contract signed. Two professional references required (1 manager/director, charge RN acceptable for 2nd). Patient ratios 2:1 all shifts.
