- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; strong familiarity with Swan-Ganz, vasoactive drips, arterial lines, advanced heart failure, and post-procedure care (STEMIs, TAVRs) 2. Cases: STEMI, NSTEMI, acute decompensated heart failure, myocardial infarction, post-resuscitation management, pulmonary hypertension, dysrhythmias, valvular conditions; specialty training needed for IV prostacyclin infusions; therapeutic hypothermia/intravascular temperature management; post-TAVR/TMVR patient care 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; copies of required certifications must be included with submission 4. License: VA license accepted as pending at submission, but must be in-hand by the Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required at time of submission 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic required; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 36 or 48 hours available; every other weekend; every other holiday; 13-week contract; float within scope of practice within facility per UVA float policy 8. RTO: Maximum 40 hours approved per 13-week contract; no RTO approved around Labor Day; no additional RTO approved after acceptance; any vacation plans between sign date and start date must be communicated to Client Delivery Manager at time of submission 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at any UVA Health system facility as permanent staff, internal, or external traveler; perm staff and internal travelers must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership to return; external travelers may not work more than 365 days total regardless of time off between contracts 10. Travel/Local: Select units have a 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed among restricted units; locals not accepted for specific listed units (this unit not among them) 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of any background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; any time exceeding 16 hours is billable; completed during orientation and vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13.
