- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; 2:1 patient ratio experience required 2. Cases: Surgical and trauma adult critical care patients; post-operative patients from emergency or complex surgical procedures; patients with multisystem traumatic injuries 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; TNCC required; copy of certifications required with submission 4. License: VA license (can submit with pending license but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date); Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours available; nights; every other weekend, every other holiday; block scheduling cannot be accommodated/guaranteed 8. RTO: Only guaranteed up to 40 hours per 13-week contract; unable to approve Memorial Day weekend; no additional RTO requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction (this unit not specifically listed as restricted) 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12.
