Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; will accept inpatient oncology experience but must also have outpatient infusion clinic experience; will not accept any other outpatient clinic experience except infusion clinic 2. Cases: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration, transfusion of blood/platelets/plasma, port draw/phlebotomy/central line access, bone marrow biopsy/aspiration procedures, management of chemotherapy toxicities 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 2-3 weekend shifts per contract; candidates will float within scope if needed 8. RTO: Should be included at submission time, approved by unit manager on WOC; no guaranteed time off; no time off granted during first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: 6 hours average completed during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable; must be completed by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Natural nail policy required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Port access skills required Critical: 36 orientation hours. Two references required. SSN, DOB, address, phone, and email required at submission. Must address shift availability upfront. Daily census 50-60 patients with 50 visits per day. Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics.
