Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 5 years per system fields; 1+ year within specialty required for submission; 3+ years in specialty noted in facility description; travel experience preferred 2. Cases: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi); high acuity trauma and cardiac patients; moderate sedation; common diagnoses include trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, SOB, psych 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or ATCN (in hand), NIHSS required; travelers will be allowed to obtain before starting 4. License: Valid NY State License required; must have at least applied if still pending; submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; patient ratios are 1:4 (days/nights/weekends) but may flex to 1:5 during surge; acute ratio 1:4 may flex 1:5; subacute/supertrack ratio 1:5-1:6; orientation 18 hours (minimum 3 hours, 6-hour max noted separately) 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as a traveler within one year; former manager name should be noted at submission 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate; after 3rd assignment, extensions revert to local rate 11. Background: SSN/DOB required; Canadian travelers and international travelers cannot be cleared without SSN or valid work authorization; international travelers cannot cross sooner than 10 days prior to start date 12.
