- Unit Notes:WA or Compact License Profile Review - manager will call for a phone interview NOTE: For any DUO's submitted - Manager is not able to accommodate SAME SCHEDULES/shifts ER/Trauma Center # beds/trauma bays - 56 beds, hall beds will bring this number to 60-70s Do you have a Fast track yes 6 beds Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? Triage area is separate with 5 beds, travelers can take a triage test and may be assigned although generally department staff assigned Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? We have 18 beds within the ED designated for holding inpatients awaiting bed placement, if additional is needed they are Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds? Yes, although inpatient RNs often float to the ED to take an inpatient assignment for ER holds Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? Yes we have a locked hall with 6 private treatment rooms In-house Security Yes # patients per day approximately 170-200 Ratios - 1:3, if they are low acuity 1:4 Required Certifications ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, AMS, Respiratory, Abdominal pain, Mental Health Experience or 'Must have' skills Will accept a traveler with 1 year of experience in a larger trauma settings. ED Physicians/Mid-Levels Yes both Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Yes both Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters ED Techs, CNAs from inpatient provide for 1:1 sitters in the department EMR Epic RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? ED Techs do EKGs, RTs manage RT equipment Vents, CPap, Bipap, etc. RTs also complete ABGs Is there tele on this unit? Yes Monitor Techs? Yes RNs read strips? X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Radiology department is located adjacent to the ED, transport assists with movement of patients as they are able Phlebotomy or nurse draw Nurse or ED Tech draws primarily, lab will assist when difficult Shifts & Scheduling Based on department needs for contracted shift, existing patterns built for traveler schedules Weekend Requirement Every Other Holiday Requirement MUST work holidays in November/December; manager will consider 1 of the 3 holidays IF it does not conflict with unit demands Is there a call or standby requirement? No, extra shifts available not required Floating Requirements NO Scrub Color/Dress Code Any professional colors Unit/Department specific orientation 1 day compliance information( 8-10 hr) with policies/education/training and 2nd day department orientation (12 hr) Additional Notes - NO RTO for the will be considered the first full week of a travelers assignment. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
