Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN – ER
Shift: Days/ 6a-6:30p, 12×1, 12hrs per week, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- CA License
- 2+ years of ER experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- CPI
- MAB
- PALS
- Must have recent Epic experience
- Skills Required: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi , STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility, Non Trauma Emergency Department, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Medications, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Manage / apply splints, Managing violent behavior, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Triage
Other Details
- 1:4 Patient Ratio Experience Required
- It is highly preferred that the clinician can work at least 2 days per week
- Medication System: Omnicell
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required + Booster – No Exemptions, Current Booster
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – No Exemptions
ER RN’s are needed for per diem
Requirements
– 2+ years of ER experience
– ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, MAB, PALS
-CPI certificate is REQUIRED – MUST be 100% in person “Blue Card” – please identify in submittal if will need to obtain during compliance*
-1:4 Patient Ratio Experience Required
– 2 Supervisor References from a work assignment within the last year (Department Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager)
– Covid Vaccination Required** (No Medical or Religious Exemptions accepted)
-Candidates with more than 1 pipeline will be redirected.
-Must have recent Epic experience
-Weekend Coverage (Every Other)
-Special Procedure/Unit Details: Intubation, Code Blue, Code Stemi, Code Stroke
-Skills Required: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi , STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility, Non Trauma Emergency Department, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Medications, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Manage / apply splints, Managing violent behavior, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Triage
Preferred

Orientation Details
12 hr orientation (Day Shift 7a-7p, Scheduled during the week M-F)
Clinicians will complete an Epic Test Out remotely along with required modules if Epic test out is failed.
· Clinicians will complete 12-14 hours of pre-start modules

– Days 0600 to 1830

-Avg. Daily Census:50; Rooms:28; Beds: 28; Visits/Day: 110
– Charting system: Epic
-Medication System: Omnicell
-Scrub Color – Navy
– Covid Vaccination and Booster Required (No Medical or Religious Exemptions accepted)
– Must live within 50 mile radius
-1 year separation policy from UCI Health
– Flu declinations accepted – required to wear mask at all times if no flu vaccination on file during flu season
