- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required (VMS structured field lists 2 years) 2. Cases: Electrophysiology experience required with implants, complex ablations, LAAO, cardioversions, tilt table, and TEE procedures; referral center for complex patients; 6-12 procedures daily across 4 rooms 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; must be in hand at time of submittal 4. License: VA or compact state license required; must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Late shifts required; no call; self-scheduling; shift availability must be addressed upfront; candidates will float within scope if needed 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submission; approved by unit manager on WOC; no guaranteed time off beyond that; no time off granted during first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: Travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits; ER and Psych candidates required to submit to fingerprinting per Virginia code 37.1-183.3 (15-20 business day turnaround; candidates cannot start with results pending) 12. Modules: Assigned during orientation via VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable; average 6 hours factored into NBO; must be completed by Friday of orientation week while working on unit 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned; note VCU has a natural nail policy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Biosense Webster Carto, Siemens SC200 ultrasound, Sonosite ultrasound, Siemens P500 ultrasound, Medtronic cryotherapy, GE CardioLab, GE biplane and single plane X-Ray, Baylis RF Critical: SSN, DOB, address, phone, and email required at submission. Two references required. Anesthesia coverage for 95% of procedures. Busy lab requiring stamina and advanced EP skills.
