- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; will consider 1 year if Level 1 Trauma Facility experience; Trauma Level I experience required; must have sufficient Level 1 trauma experience 2. Cases: Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular (Open and Endovascular Procedures), Transplant (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas), Whipples (Pancreatic Procedures); heart and lung transplant experience needed for night shift 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (standard requirement) 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, 0615-1845; on-call required as needed — 3-4 weekday/weeknight and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule, can be more or less depending on unit needs; official turnaround time is 40 minutes from call to clock-in; holidays as needed discussed in advance; rotating shift start times as needed; will float within service line; block schedule not accommodated 8. RTO: No more than 7 days; holidays as needed discussed in advance 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility 11. Department handles urgent and emergent cases as the highest level of care in the region. Must scrub and circulate.
