- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; unit accepts first time travelers 2. Cases: Cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery procedures including CABG, TAVR, MAZE, valve replacements, thoracotomy, VATS, aortic aneurysm repairs, carotid procedures 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required 4. License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Call required - typically one weekday call weekly and one weekend every 5-6 weeks; weekend rotation discussed during interview 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; specific holiday restrictions - if 1-2 major holidays during assignment, must work all; if 3 holidays, must work 2 9. Returning Staff: Must be away 1 full year from all Piedmont facilities to return as traveler; if unable to return to one facility, must complete successful assignment outside Piedmont first 10.
