- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years recent acute care required for submission 2. Cases: Cardiac surgery (CABG, Valve Repair/Replacement, TAVR), heart/lung transplant, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock with device support (ECMO, IABP, Impella), septic shock, multisystem organ dysfunction; full clinical skills list includes CVP, hemodynamic monitoring, PA Line/Swan Ganz, ACT, epicardial pacing wires, CVVHD/CRRT, ventilator management, and more 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: PA Single State or Compact license required at time of submission; PA Fingerprints required 5. Education: BSN required 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Alternating 12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am and 6:45am-7:15pm); may rotate between days and nights or mix within the same week; every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday); 1 holiday required 8. RTO: All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission; requests received after submission will not be accepted; no block scheduling; planned time off must not interfere with pre-start compliance 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; reduced local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 36 orientation hours noted; planned time off must not interfere with completing required pre-start compliance before start date 13. Unit is a high-acuity CVICU at a Level I Trauma Center managing open chest, transplant, and advanced cardiovascular patients. Floating may occur to any Adult ICU or Telemetry unit if CVICU census is low. Patient ratio is 1:2-3.
