- Unit Notes:*****strong circulating and teching skills for advanced procedures such as EUS, ERCP, etc **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract 5x8's or 4x10's, to be discussed in interview. weekly weeknight call plus weekend call. Currently, the team covers call about 1-2 weeknights per week and about every 3 weekends. - ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography): Managing specialized imaging catheters, sphincterotomy wires, and stents to treat bile and pancreatic duct issues. - EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound): Operating and troubleshooting the ultrasound processor and assisting with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) tools for tissue biopsies. - EMR/ESD (Endoscopic Mucosal/Submucosal Resection): Setting up advanced electrocautery, injection needles, and snares for removing large, complex polyps or early-stage cancerous lesions. - Enteroscopy: Handling specialized equipment, such as balloon catheters, for visualizing and treating the small bowel. - Endolumenal Surgery: Assisting with endoscopic suturing, stent deployment, and Endoflip device setup for structural GI conditions. Additionally, technicians are responsible for the highly specialized, high-level disinfection and reprocessing of these complex scopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards. * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
