- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years RN experience required; must be experienced in direct open heart admissions from OR, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 2. Cases: MUST HAVE ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience; direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, weekdays, weekends; ratio 1:2; may occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal; blocked schedules only considered if requesting weekends only (Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon) 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have permanent address 100 miles from facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable, average 8 hours completion time, completed prior to start date, requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Yes required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15.
